Our decking oil preserves your outdoor timber's charm, offering a classic finish with a quick 1-hour recoat time for easy application. What you'll need
Feast Watson Traditional Timber Oil

Pressure washer
Bucket
Stiff bristle brush
Stirrer
Applicator brush or pad
Paint Brush
Safety gear (Protective Glasses, Clothing, Ear coverings and a mask)
Time to prep
- Sweep away any dirt, leaves and debris before removing stubborn marks with a pressure washer.
- Prep timber with Feast Watson Woodclean by mixing 1 part with 4 parts water in a bucket.
- Wet the timber and apply the Woodclean solution, scrubbing with a stiff bristle brush. Allow it to penetrate the timber for 20 minutes before washing away.
Coat with Traditional Timber Oil
- Stir Feast Watson Traditional Timber Oil thoroughly before and during application. Take care to avoid introducing any bubbles.
- Apply your first coat of Feast Watson Traditional Timber Oil along the lengths of the timber boards, working along 3-4 boards at a time.
- Use a brush to coat any areas that require closer attention like the timber ends or edges.
- Let the oil penetrate the timber for 30 minutes before wiping off any excess product with a dry applicator or cloth before your timber becomes tacky.
- Let your timber dry for another 60 minutes.
- Apply a second coat following the above steps.
- Leave the deck to dry for 18 hours before walking across it or styling.
