Feast Watson Stain & Varnish Liming White
Every now and then you come across that special someone that lights up a room. For us, it’s a special something – our Stain & Varnish Liming White.
This design hero quite literally lightens up a room to create a bright, airy effect and a feeling of sophistication while protecting your timber all at once.
It’s a special white wood stain with a water-based formula that is non-yellowing and imparts a light, milky-white colour and satin finish without obscuring the natural characteristics of the timber grain.
Apply one coat of this liming white stain and varnish for a subtle, pale colour or multiple to build up the opacity and whiteness.
You have a lime wash wood stain that is Ssuitable for all interior woodwork, including furniture, cabinetry, trim, window frames, skirting boards, doors, panelling and architrave.
Fast-drying, low odour and available in gloss or satin finish, it’s a quality white wood stain with a difference.

How to prepare Feast Watson Stain & Varnish - Liming White:
Before you get coating... Let's prep!
How to prepare New Timber:
Sand to a smooth surface and remove all sanding dust before coating.
To achieve that super-smooth finish, or if the timber grain is open or coarse, apply a coat of Feast Watson Sanding Sealer and sand back as per the label instructions.
Note: For naturally oily timbers, seal the timber with Feast Watson Proofseal™ as per the label instructions prior to application.
How to prepare Previously Coated Timber:
Previously varnished surfaces need to be sanded to a dull finish.
Remember to remove all sanding dust before coating.
How to apply Feast Watson Stain and Varnish Liming White:
Here we go…
Make sure you love your colour! Using an off-cut, test the colour to ensure you are happy with your choice.
Make sure the Stain and Varnish Liming White is thoroughly stirred through before starting (and during application). Avoid introducing any bubbles!
Apply Stain & Varnish Liming White using a brush or roller.
If applying by roller: Use a short nap (5mm) mohair roller. Ensure edges and end grain are fully coated.
If applying by spray: Three coats are required. If you have achieved your desired colour after one or two coats, complete the following coats with a water-based interior clear coating, as additional coats of Stain & Varnish Liming White will intensify the colour.
Provide 2 hours of drying time between coats. Remember to sand lightly between coats with fine sandpaper to get the best results.
If applying over a previous varnish coating, two coats will be sufficient.
How to maintain your timber after using Feast Watson Stain & Varnish - Liming White:
Follow these easy steps:
Keep an eye on the surface for any signs of colour loss or surface defects.
When required, lightly sand the surface, and remember to remove all dust.
Recoat with an additional coat of Clear Varnish as per application instructions.
Do not pour leftover product down the drain.
Brush leftover product onto newspaper, and allowed to completely dry, before disposing of via general waste collection.
Empty containers should be left open in a well-ventilated area to dry out. When dry, recycle the container through steel can recycle programs such as Paintback.
