Our Sanding Sealer is a clear, fast drying timber seal that fills the natural gaps of the timber grain and creates a beautiful, smooth canvas for your timber coating.
Ideal for open-grain timber surfaces, apply before finishing off with a Varnish or French Polish for a glossy, mirror-like result.

How to apply Feast Watson Sanding Sealer:
Okay, let's apply your wood sealer:
Apply Sanding Sealer using a brush, roller or spray gun. If using a spray, add 20% of mineral turpentine to thin product.
Depending on grain depth, apply 1-2 coats of Sanding Sealer. If applying with a spray, two or more coats may be required.
Allow to dry before sanding off all surface material with medium-grade sandpaper. Remember to remove all dust from the surface prior to applying your desired top coat.
Instructions for staining:
Make sure to apply Feast Watson Prooftint™ Stain after the final Sanding Sealer coat has been sanded, and prior to the application of any top coats.
How to maintain my timber after using Feast Watson Sanding Sealer:
Keep an eye on your timber for signs of colour loss or surface defects.
When required, sand back the previous coating and remove dust.
Apply Sanding Sealer as per application instructions.
Apply desired top coat.
Do not pour leftover product down the drain.
Brush leftover product onto newspaper, and allowed to completely dry, before disposing of via general waste collection.
Empty containers should be left open in a well-ventilated area to dry out. When dry, recycle the container through steel can recycle programs such as Paintback.
