How to prepare your timber for Feast Watson Prooftint™ Colour Reducer:
Prep in one simple step.
Prepare new and previously coated timber as per the directions for Prooftint™.
How to apply Prooftint Colour Reducer:
Add Prooftint to Prooftint Colour Reducer at the required mixing ratio to achieve your beautiful colour.
Make sure your stir well and apply the Prooftint Application instructions.
Check that you love your colour! Test the colour on an off cut or an inconspicuous area before beginning to check this is the colour your desired.
Note: The dwell time before wiping excess, and the finishing clear coat will impact the final colour.
Apply Prooftint and Reducer mix directly to the surface in the direction of the grain, by either brush or rag.
After making a coffee (2-5 minutes) wipe the product off, depending on the colour you desire.
Allow to dry, then seal with Feast Watson Clear Varnish.
Dilute Prooftint in Prooftint Colour Reducer, which will give more working time to distribute the stain evenly over a large space.
Using a rag, brush or Feast Watson Floor Finish Applicator, apply the product in the direction of the grain.
Once you reach your desired colour, wipe off excess.
Allow to dry, then seal with Feast Watson Timber Floor Oil.
Do not pour leftover product down the drain.
Brush leftover product onto newspaper, and allowed to completely dry, before disposing of via general waste collection.
Empty containers should be left open in a well-ventilated area to dry out. When dry, recycle the container through steel can recycle programs such as Paintback.
