Made from a clear, natural Tung oil blend, our matt Kitchen Timber Oil™ keeps your timber water-resistant and protected from the wear and tear of daily life.

When you’re looking for a varnish or oil for a kitchen benchtop, you have an oil that is suitable for protecting timber and bamboo kitchen benches, as well as boards, bowls and serving utensils from water and spill damage.

Ensure that Kitchen Timber Oil™ is thoroughly dry before exposing it to food. Once dry, your surface will be safe for food preparation. Kitchen Timber Oil™ contains traces of tree nuts.

How to prepare your timber for Feast Watson Kitchen Timber Oil™:

Prep is the first step to your new kitchen look.

  1. Ensure your surface is clean, dry, and free from dirt, grease, oil, wax and mould.

  2. Sand it back to a smooth surface, and remove any leftover sanding dust.

  3. If your timber has been previously coated, no worries. Just ensure that the surface is thoroughly stripped and sanded back to bare timber.

How to apply Feast Watson Kitchen Timber Oil™:

  1. Stir Kitchen Timber Oil™ gently prior to use, with a flat blade stirrer.

  2. Apply a liberal coat of Kitchen Timber Oil™ to your timber with a brush, roller or clean cloth. Ensure the surface is evenly covered.

  3. Leave Kitchen Timber Oil™ to soak into timber for approximately 45 - 60 minutes, then wipe off any excess product with a clean cloth.

  4. Allow approximately 24 hours to dry between coats.

  5. Apply a second coat of Kitchen Timber Oil™ by following the application process outlined above. Allow a minimum of 24 hours to dry.

To stain your benchtop, add up to a maximum of 10% Prooftint to Kitchen Timber Oil™.

Food Safety Note: Ensure that surfaces have thoroughly dried before exposing to food. Kitchen Timber Oil™ contains oil from tree nuts.

How to maintain your timber after using Feast Watson Kitchen Timber Oil™:

Just follow these super easy, simple steps!

  1. Clean using Feast Watson Floor Clean.

  2. Before rejuvenating your timber, ensure that the surface to be treated is dry and free from dirt, oil, wax and grease.

  3. Apply one light coat of Kitchen Timber Oil™ and buff.

Do not pour leftover product down the drain.

Brush leftover product onto newspaper, and allowed to completely dry, before disposing of via general waste collection.

Empty containers should be left open in a well-ventilated area to dry out. When dry, recycle the container through steel can recycle programs such as Paintback.
