Mastertouch Carnauba Wax
Mastertouch Wax is a made from premium, natural carnauba, one of nature’s hardest waxes. It protects, rejuvenates and enhances the natural beauty of fine timber whist imparting a lustrous sheen.
Wax is regarded as one of the best finishes for fine furniture and antiques and can be used on pre-finished woodwork including new and old furniture.
Mastertouch Wax is available in Natural or Brown. Natural is best for pale timbers, Brown enriches tone in darker woods like Jarrah and Mahogony.
Ensure the surface of the sealed timber is clean and dry before applying Mastertouch Wax. Sweep sealed floors and clean with Feast Watson Floorclean
If using directly onto bare timber ensure the surface has been sanded with fine paper prior to application and is clean and free from sanding dust.
Apply a thin even coating of Mastertouch Wax using a soft dry cloth or pad. Allow 5 minutes to dry then buff to desired sheen level. Where a soft lustre is required on sealed timber, apply with 000 or 0000 steel wool, using light pressure and rubbing with the grain. Then buff to an even soft sheen using a clean, dry soft, cloth.
A buffing machine and dry pad are recommended when using on bare timber floorboards as a machine will generate more heat which enables the surface to set harder. Many coatings will be required on bare timber to achieve a durable finish.
To make a creamy floor polish, immerse the Mastertouch Wax container in hot water to melt wax, then add 250mls of pure turpentine per 125 grams of Mastertouch Wax until the desired consistency is achieved. Apply a thin even coating using a soft dry cloth or Feast Watson Applicator and Floor Care Polish Sock. Allow 5 minutes to dry then buff to desired sheen level. A buffing machine and dry pad will make buffing easier but the job can also be done with a clean dry cloth or Polish Sock
To rejuvenate tired, worn floors, apply one coat of Mastertouch Wax and buff to desired sheen level. Old layers of Mastertouch Wax can be stripped from floors using Mineral Turpentine.
